Summary: 2016 This year I have taken on many new challenges I joined Second Chants a show choir. http://www.youthsingers.org/programs/second-chants/ . This was for my own personal growth and indeed it was. I also continue to stretch myself by presenting on and offline using technology to help others.

I continue to love what I do working with adolescents and finding ways to make a difference.

Summary:

Coming to BCHS has been amazing for me. Being in a self-directed High School is wonderful. I love the energy and the amazing students we have here. I also am pleased I am able to integrate technology into everything I am doing. It benefits not only our students, but me as well. Taking the Educational Technology MOOC was transformative.

Summary 2003: My year on a reserve, thousands of miles away from home, was one of the best learning years of my life.  I learned how to teach, coach, be creative and to make it in the world on my own. I absolutely loved my year there and am friends with most of my colleagues still. There is no way to summarize all I have learned over the years, but I am grateful for each and every experience, as it has shaped me into the person I am today! I have taught elementary, special education, junior high, and university students. Each year has taught me so many things. Counselling is the area I love the most. I plan on being a chartered psychologist ( now a Registered Psychologist ) in the next couple of years. I know I have left out things I have done and even inservices I have been to, however, I think overall I have been fortunate to read and learn and experience many fabulous things in my life! The most influential people in my life have helped me to learn the most… my friendships, family, (Leo Buscaglia), my favorite author, several books, especially my husband and my children. My teenage daughter taught me more than I could ever read in a book. I have been blessed with many gifts!
